5 Ways to Manage Your Time and Be More Productive
Do you ever feel like there’s never enough time in the day? Are you always rushing to complete tasks? Stretching yourself too thin makes it harder to focus on priorities and causes you to burnout faster. If you are looking to get more done, the tips below will help you free up more time in your day and maximize your productivity.
1. Use a Pomodoro Timer
Pomodoro timers are a great way to help you complete tasks by working in short blocks of time. This method is very popular and keeps you from spending too much time getting lost in your work pile. By focusing on one task at a time, you will be able to cross more items off of your to-do list and feel better about making progress.

2. Limit Distractions
Social media, video games, and mobile apps have a way of stealing countless hours of attention from us. If you are looking to better manage the hours in your day, you have to put a limit on things that eat up valuable time. A good rule of thumb is to reward yourself with time-consuming activities only after your important work is out of the way. Trust me, you will thank yourself in the end!

3. get enough sleep
People say that in order to be successful sleep is not an option. However, you are still human at the end of the day and your body requires rest in order to function properly. Getting a good night’s sleep will help you recharge the energy you need to have a productive day.

4. Use a planner or to-do app
Having the ability to remember every gory detail of our daily lives would be awesome. Just imagine the feeling of never forgetting another birthday or missing out on a special event. Hard as you may try to store everything in your memory bank, you are bound to forget something. A good way to keep a log of appointments and tasks is to use a planner app. Since your phone is on you at all times, using an app such as Any.do lets you set alerts about important events and tasks.

5. practice better self-care
It’s easy to get wrapped up in day-to-day functions and let self-care fall by the wayside. There is nothing wrong with being ambitious, but if you’re not in a good mental or physical state you won’t be doing yourself or those around you any favors. Remember that you are your first priority before anything else. Be sure to block off some time in your day for yoga, exercise, or the hobbies you most enjoy.
