DMJ Studio and Chroma Detroit Seek Visual Artists for ‘YOU Belong’ Exhibition
What does it mean to belong to a certain community, race, or gender? DMJ Studio and Chroma Detroit are asking Detroit and Metro-Detroit based artists to explore the topic in YOU Belong: An Exhibition on Belonging.
From now until Monday, May 2, 2022, each artist can submit up to three pieces of work that express their views on ‘belonging’. The primary focus of the exhibition will be on artists from Detroit, but artists who either reside outside of the area or are in collaboration with a Metro Detroit artist are welcome to apply as well.
The announcement of finalists will take place Monday, May 16, 2022 and the exhibition will open Friday, June 11, 2022.
