Not Sorry Goods Celebrates 2-Year Anniversary of Flagship Store Launch
Not Sorry Goods is celebrating the opening of its flagship store with a special event today. Since opening its doors in July 30, 2021, the Ferndale-based brand has become a popular favorite where shoppers can find upcycled, eco-friendly garments featuring bold designs and messages of self-love, encouragement, pride, and activism.

I stopped by the shop this afternoon to congratulate shop founders Dy-Min Johnson and Jess Minnick on their milestone. During my visit, I was able to gain some helpful advice about facing challenges as a creative entrepreneur. “I’d say never give up, even when things get really hard and you have that brief moment where you want to throw it all out and burn it all up. That moment will pass,” said Minnick. “Reflection is really important because it’s easy to get caught up in the moment. But thinking back to where you were a year or two ago will help you recognize and celebrate those milestones. That will put things into perspective and give you the motivation to keep going.”

Before departing, I asked Minnick what excited her most about the flagship store’s two-year anniversary. “I would say the growth of what we do in this space. In the beginning it was a lot of our stuff, but our shop is now full with goods from other artists. I’m super proud that we can host different artists because they all have their own story, style, and it’s so unique. It inspires us,” she smiled.
